The Academy teaches the new Mathematics Standard 11–12 Syllabus (2024), examined for the first time in the 2027 HSC.
Course description
Mathematics Standard enables students to use mathematics effectively, efficiently and critically to make informed decisions in daily life. All Year 11 students share a common Mathematics Standard course; in Year 12 they choose either Mathematics Standard 1 (this course) or Mathematics Standard 2, depending on their intended pathway.
Mathematics Standard 1 is designed for students who want to continue mastering the Year 11 outcomes and develop their mathematical knowledge through applications and modelling, preparing them for post-school employment or further training.
